The shores of Coniston Water
Just cross the road by the park entrance and you can make your way to the shores of Coniston, fantastic for a walk at any time, and maybe a picnic on a sunny day. You can walk to Lake Bank jetty located down a foot path in the far right hand corner of the field directly opposite the drive.
From Coniston Boating centre you can walk for miles along the shores of Coniston taking in the views.
Beacon Tarn
If you leave the park by the entrance and walk a short way to the left, you will see a footpath that leads up to Beacon Fell where you can find Beacon Tarn and also meet the Cumbrian Way footpath.

Things to do in Coniston
As well as the usual smattering of Lakeland pubs with roaring fires and craft / gift shops, some other great places to visit in Coniston are….

- Coniston Boating Centre – Hire a variety of different types of boats and spend the day enjoying the lake.
Coniston is also a starting point for many Lakeland walks, such as Coniston Old Man, Tarn Hows, Cathedral Cave and Coppermine Valley.
